France Outdoors is a family run local tour operator based in the Provence Alps – France.
We organise walking, cycling and snowshoeing holidays for outdoor enthusiasts from Ireland, the UK, Australia, Canada and the US since 2008.
More recently we also organise trips for French people willing to improve their English while enjoying walking in the Outdoors.
Destinations are as varied as Europe, Morocco, Nepal, Patagonia and many more!

  1. We had a fantastic trip and Mien was a superb guide. The only disappointment was that we couldn’t walk to Courmayeur as the rest of the group wasn’t fit enough. I understand that Mien needed to keep everyone together but that was a real shame. Perhaps the trip needs to be marketed better to make it clearer about fitness?
    It was unfortunate about the hotel in Les Contamines but mistakes happen! You dealt with it very fast which was brilliant.
    As for Trient, its all part of the experience!!
    Well done to you all it was fabulous. Mien mentioned doing the TMB on a road bike and thought you could offer this – is this true?

  2. Rental bikes are possibly slightly over geared for all climning. Either bikes available with triple rings or bigger cogs at back but generaly quality of bikes excellent.
    Thierry was an excellent and fun guide who wanted to get me out of bed far too early! But really enjoyed!!
