Algarve Walking Holiday – The Essentials.
This one week Algarve walking holiday on the south west coast of Portugal will let you get away from it all on the coastal trails and rolling inland hills of the Westernmost tip of Europe.
Walk above the wild Atlantic on clifftop walks and through quiet coves with sandy beaches, and through traditional Portuguese villages of small white houses.
The Algarve has an exceptional climate, with over 300 days of sunshine per year
The little town of Lagos is the ideal base for this walking trip, allowing us to visit both the wild Western coast, the most peaceful Eastern coast with its turquoise waters, and go the Serra de Monchique range with the highest peak in the Algarve.
Your accommodation is in the 4* Marina Club Lagos Resort, ideally located near the Marina, between the old centre (15min walk) and the Sao Roque beach (15 min walk too) the western part of a 3km long sandy beach. You can enjoy the outdoors swimming pool, and access the really nice bar and restaurant of the hotel.
Everyday two levels of walks, A walk and B walk, will be offered (as in Provence in 2024) and if necessary a C walk will also be available from 35 participants.
A walk: from 10 to 14 km distance and from 400m to 600m ascent
B walk: from 7 to 11 km distance and from 150m to 400m ascent

Included:
– 3 mountain leaders for the 5 days walking (from 26 pax) and at least two to stay with the group the whole week and coordinate activities. From 35 pax a fourth guide will be appointed.
– 7 nights in the 4 star hotel “Marina Club Lagos Resort” based on two people sharing.
– Single rooms (double bed) available with extra supplement.
– 7 breakfasts + 4 dinners at the hotel.
– Faro airport transfers to match group flights :Ryanair Dublin to Faro – FR7032 – and Ryanair Faro to Dublin FR7035
– Transports during the week: bus time is typically from 30 minutes to 1 hour each way. Day 2,3,5,6,7.
Not Included:
– All picnics and 3 dinners. Large choice of restaurants locally and shops to buy picnic lunches.
– Flight Dublin-Faro return :
01 November: Ryanair flight FR7032 – Departing Dublin at 12:05 noon arriving Faro at 2:55pm (New Ryanair flight times updated 04/06/2025).
08 November: Ryanair flight FR7035 – Departing Faro at 8:00pm arriving Dublin at 10:50pm (New Ryanair flight times updated 04/06/2025).
– Individual travel insurance (should cover repatriation and helicopter evacuation).
– Transfers from and to Faro airport if you pick a different flight than group flight.
– Beverages during the trip and at hotel.
– All extras not included in the itinerary pages 1 and 2 or mentioned as optional.
– Single supplement (€350). Please note that if you book a sharing place (twin rooms) without a sharing partner, we will do our best to find you one, however in failing doing so, extra single supplement will apply.
– Card fees (€16) – no fees if paid by bank transfer.

– 30% Deposit (€357) to paid before 30th April 2025.
– Balance 6 weeks before trip departure.
