West of the delightful city of Innsbruck, the dramatic, jagged peaks of the Wetterstein chain mark the border between Austria and Bavaria. Below, tranquil, fertile valleys wind down to meet the River Inn. One of the most picturesque valleys is Leutaschtal, where a string of pretty villages runs alongside the river and the lower slopes are thickly forested. Exploring here, not only will you have the chance to strike out into the high mountains, but you will also experience the very best of the hospitality for which the Tyrol is renowned.

Day 1: ARRIVAL
Welcome by our France outdoors guide at Munich airport. Transfer (2 hours) to your 3* hotel Tirolerhof in the village of Seewald, near Leutasch. The hotel is located in the hamlet Weidach, in the heart of the valley, near the village’s centre but off the main road. Very good reputation of welcoming and food. You can enjoy the sauna and the outside pool (small lake like pool).
Presentation of the overall itinerary and details of the walk of the following day by the guide in the bus.
Day 2: Discover the area
Today the walk explores the hamlets of the Leutasch valley.Walk from Leutasch to Seefeld. Perfect introduction to the area, with a mix a forest tracks and singles tracks. Also nice views from the “Bruschkopf” down to Seefeld and the whole region and mountains! At the end finish in Seefeld explore the pedestrian area and possibility to stop for a drink before returning to the hotel by bus.

Day 3: Wettersteinhütte – Puittal valley
Today you will explore the north side of Leutasch, around the Puittal valley and you will pass by Wettersteinhütte hut.
Over blooming alpine meadows, the path gently ascends up to the Scharnitzjoch (2048m).

Day 4: Free Day
Visit Mittenwald: Known for house paintings and its violin museum, this is an excellent place to visit, with shops, cafés and a cable car/chair lift to the mountain top. You can get a direct bus from Weidach at an additional cost.
Visit Innsbruck: This is an attractive, compact city with its famous Golden Roof and beautiful, historic buildings and museums. It offers excellent shopping and a wide selection of restaurants. It is possible to have a two-hour guided tour of the city, visit the Swarovski displays or travel on the funicular/cable car up the mountain.
Travel to the city requires a 35 minute railway journey from Seefeld with breathtaking views.

Day 5: Geisterklamm Gorge
Today we head to the German border through the Unter-Leutasch Valley and into Mittenwald. Amazing views of the Wetterstein mountains and beautiful gorge walk, many options also to climb peaks. Mittenwald is also a very nice town, perfect for an after walk drink!

Day 6: Panoramic Seefelder tour
After taking the cable car up to Seefelder Josh, you will enjoy a beautiful path to Seefelder Spitze. Then walk back down to Seefeld. Beautiful views.

Day 7: Plateau of Wildmoos
Our final walk of the week explores the high plateau of Wildmoos, with the beautiful lakes of Lotten-see and Wildmoos-see taking centre stage, a tranquil, peaceful setting, and a popular outing for many visitors to the Seefeld region.

Day 8: Farewell !
Transfer to Munich Airport to match the group flight.
