DAY 1: Arrival – Transfer to Saint Veran
Pick up in Briançon and transfer to Saint Véran, one of the most beautiful alpine villages of the South Alps. Located at 2040 m of altitude in the Queyras Regional Park, you will be charmed by its wooden and stone houses as well as the magnificent view over the mountains. You will be welcomed at the 2 star hotel “Le Grand Tetras” located in the heart of the village and run by a very friendly family. Great atmosphere. The hotel has a bar a restaurant and a nice terrace outside. After an active day out you will appreciate the delicious local food offered for dinner.

DAY 2: Walk the Saint Veran south faces
For your first day of walking, to discover the place you will enjoy a loop walk on the south faces of Saint Veran from the hotel. You will discover the valley of the Aigues Blanche river stream.
The walk will follow on and off tracks an old irrigation canal designed to water the numerous fields around. This is a perfect way to see the place from different angles and even if this walk is close to Saint Veran you will take tracks where you will see hardly anyone. Coming back to Saint veran through another track you can stop for a drink on the high part of the village.

DAY 3: Sommet Bucher Peak (2254 m) – Molines Hamlet
Another walk with some sections off tracks offering superb views of the Aigue Blanche valley, the superb village of Molines, with its typical alpine architecture.
You will descend to Moline ski resort first through the lovely larch trees forest and continue the walk along the river Blanche, before climbing to Sommet Buchet, a relatively low altitude mountain but with a fantastic panoramic view. After this climb, the group will get down to Molines to catch the bus back to Saint Veran.

DAY 4: North Queyras – Aiguilles and Ville Vieille hamlets
After a short transfer by public transport to Ville Vielle you will explore the north end of Queyras and some unspoiled parts of the regional park. Today will be an easier day than the day before and you will visit first the lovely village of Aiguilles before taking a balcony walk to the old Sheppard house of Borels. The group will continue to follow the GR 58 track (tour of Queyras track) down to the village of Ville Vielle.
From Ville Vielle the group will take the shuttle back up to Saint Veran.

DAY 5: Free day
Many options available, Self guided walks, museum of the Saint Veran old house, white water rafting or Via Ferrata in Chateau Queyras, mountain bike and road cycling with some famous climbs of the tour de France like Col Agnel or Col Izoard.

DAY 6: Italian Border – and 3000 m + peaks
Today the group will take a shuttle bus to the Eastern side of Queyras, to Chapelle Clausis (2399 m). You will then explore the old copper mines of the valley before climbing to Caramantran peak (3025 m) amazing summit at the italian border with views of Monte Viso (3841 m) in Italy.

DAY 7: Saint Veran Curley ridge
For the last day, the group will explore the ridges of Saint Veran, south side of Queyras, never exposed they offer some amazing vista to Ubaye valley, last mountains before the Mercantour national park.
You will walk the Curley ridge (very wide and comfortable) with fabulous views of Saint Veran and walk down through the meadows.

DAY 8: Farewell!
Transfer to Briançon in the morning, buses and trains available to join Oulx or Marseille train stations.
