Dolomites Snowshoe Trek – The Essentials
Guided snowshoe trek in the Dolomites, one of the planet’s most spectacular landscapes in the Alta Pusteria Valley that has been classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. After 2 nights in Dobbiaco in the family run hotel Tschurtschenthaler, you will take a snowshoeing adventure staying in mountain huts (multisharing) for 3 nights on a row. This will be a unique opportunity to explore higher grounds and the majestic of the Dolomites in the winter. Then you will return to the hotel Tschurtschenthaler for the last two nights, to enjoy the comfort, spa and excellent cuisine of the hotel!

Included:
– Local transports during the trip. Airport transfers.
– 5 nights B&B in the family run hotel Tschurtschenthaler in Dobbiaco .
– 4 evening meals in the Hotel Tschurtschenthaler
– 2 nights in mountain huts, half board, multisharing
– 6 Guided snowshoe walks, including snowshoes, sticks, and safety tools with qualified international mountain leader. -Transceivers, probes and shovels.
Not Included:
– Single room Supplement: 125€ for 5 nights in the hotel in Dobbiaco.
– All lunches + 1 dinner in Dobbiaco/Toblach
– The flights. Individual insurance.
– Beverages.
– All extras not included in the itinerary.
Trip level: Moderate
Booking process:
– Deposit (€342 through your online booking) to be paid before 30th September 2022.
– Balance one month before trip departure.
Important Note Covid-19 : you will receive a full refund of payments sent (on land, ex flights) in the case that the trip has to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Check lit:
-Walking boots, (leather boots).
-Gaiters, warm pair of socks, some lights too.
-Winter hiking pants, long johns, and waterproof Goretex overtrouser.
-Goretex jacket/ Waterproof jacket breathable.
-Fleece jacket. Duvet jacket.
-Micro fleece and mountain tee shirts for base layer, if possible avoid cotton tee-shirts.
-Hat and cap, Buffs.
-Sun protection, eye protection (sun glasses and goggles can be handy if you have some).
-Gloves two pairs, one light and one warm.
-For snowshoeing no need to bring your walking sticks as we provide them, unless you prefer to use your own.
-Rucksack 30 Litres with straps to carry the snowshoes when necessary.
-Water bottle 1L to 1.5 Litres preferably. A small thermal flask so you can drink hot in the mountain.
-Camelback not so recommended (tend to freeze in the winter).
-Don’t forget your own medication (if any)
-Blister treatment (second skin, etc,..).
For Huts:
-Zip lock bags handy to pack light. Small waterproof bags can be handy in your rucksack.
-Camping towel, slippers (unless provided by the hut), head torch, small soap, tooth paste / brush.
-Long johns for the evening. Bed linen
