Seefeld is an Alpine town in the Austrian state of Tyrol. The town lies on a plateau ringed by the Wetterstein and Karwendel mountain ranges. The dramatic, jagged peaks of the Wetterstein mountain range mark the border between the state of Tyrol in Austria and the state of Bavaria in Germany. Below the mountain ranges, are tranquil and fertile valleys that wind down to meet the River Inn. One of the most picturesque valleys, in the area, is Leutasch Valley, where a string of picturesque villages trace the river’s winding path and the lower slopes of the valleys are thickly forested. Exploring from Seefeld, not only will you have the chance to strike out into the high mountain ranges and explore the valleys, but you will also experience the very best of the hospitality for which the Tyrol is renowned.
Everyday two levels of walks (A walk and B walk) will be offered and if necessary a C walk will also be available if there are more than 35 participants.
A walk: from 10 to 14 km distance and from 300m to 600m ascent
B walk: from 6 to 10 km distance and from 150m to 380m ascent
There will be 3 guides appointed if there are 26 to 34 participants. There will be 4 guides appointed if there are more than 35 participants.
Minimum Group size: 26 participants.

Hotel: 4* Hotel Central in Seefeld.

Day 1: ARRIVAL.
Welcome by our France Outdoors guide at Munich airport on arrival on Lufthansa flight LH2517 from Dublin. Bus transfer (2 hours) to your 4* Hotel Central in the village of Seefeld. Presentation of the overall itinerary and details of the walk of the following day will be given by the guide in the bus. Hotel Central is family run hotel and has a very good reputation for personalised service and excellent traditional dishes. You can enjoy the Hotel’s Wellness Facilities including the sauna, steam bath and fitness room. Free access to Strandperle, a bathing resort on the shore of Lake Wildsee near Seefeld (10 min walk).

Day 2: Walk 1 – Discover the area – Seewald to Seefeld
Today the walk will explore the hamlets of the Leutasch Valley. Short transfer by public bus to the Leutasch Valley and walk back to Seefeld. Perfect introduction to the area, with a mix a forest tracks and singles tracks. Also nice views from the “Brunschkopf” down to Seefeld and the whole region and mountains! Possibility to stop at a hut for a drink on the way.

Day 3: Walk 2 – Wettersteinhütte or Hammermoosalm hut.
Today you will explore the north side of Leutasch, very wild area at the foot of high mountains well above 2000 m. The A walkers will pass by Wettersteinhütte hut while the B walkers will have a stop at Hammermoosalm hut.
Lovely views south toward to valley of Moos.

Day 4: Walk 3 – Geisterklamm Gorge
Today we head to the German border through the Unter-Leutasch Valley and into Mittenwald in Germany. Amazing views of the Wetterstein mountains and a beautiful gorge walk and with many options also to climb peaks. Mittenwald is a lovely town, perfect for an after walk drink!

Day 5: Free Day
Many visits options:
Visit Mittenwald in Bavaria Germany: Known for its coulourful painted houses and its violin museum, Mittenwald is an excellent place to visit, with shops, cafés and a cable car/chair lift to the mountain top. You can get a direct bus from Weidach, which is 7km from Seefeld, at an additional cost.
Visit Innsbruck: This is an attractive, compact city with its famous Golden Roof and beautiful, historic buildings and museums. It offers excellent shopping and a wide selection of restaurants. It is possible to have a two-hour guided tour of the city, visit the Swarovski displays or travel on the funicular/cable car up the mountain.
Travel to the city requires a 35 minute railway journey from Seefeld with breathtaking views.

Day 6: Walk 4 – Panoramic Seefelder tour
After taking the cable car up to Seefelder Joch, you will enjoy a beautiful path to Seefelder Spitze. Then walk back down to Seefeld. Beautiful views.

Day 7: Walk 5 – Plateau of Wildmoos
Our final walks of the week explore the Gschwandtkopf mountains, west of Seefeld. Walk from the hotel and possibility to take a chairlift to gain heights, you will also walk around the Mosern village area.

Day 8: Farewell !
