Italy is well known for its spectacular mountain ranges, and the Italian Dolomites are the ideal location for a walking holiday. The iconic Tre Cime mountain peaks tower over this beautiful mountain area, above the town of Dobiacco and the Alta Pusteria Valley in the Italian Tyrolm. Our Dolomites Walking Holidays in Italy will take you from Dobiacco through the picturesque Tyrolean countryside, with spectacular views of the mountain peaks all around. And of course take in the thee jagged peaks of the Tre Cime in a spectacular walk along the old military routes from the First World War in Candido

Walking Holidays in Italy : the Gran Paradiso National Park
The Gran Paradiso National Park is a vast and breathtaking area on the border with France, and extending into the Vanoise National Park on the French side. At over 1500 metres above sea level, the mountain village of Cogne is the ideal base for your Gran Paradiso walking holidays in Italy. Like the neighbouring Vanoise park, the Gran Paradiso was created to protect the Ibex which was in danger of becoming extinct, and thus today is a wildlife haven of flora and fauna, away from the noise and pollution of the urban areas. Discover the villages of Cogne and Gimilian, and walk through the beautiful Valsavarenche valley and observe the glaciers at the heart of the national park. An optional Gran Paradiso ascent is available for those looking for a challenge – at over 4000m the Gran Paradiso is one of the most beautiful peaks in Italy and a wonderful introduction to climbing 4000m+ peaks.
Walking Holidays in Italy : the Monte Rosa
The Monte Rosa in the Aosta Valley is a beautiful mountain area on the border with France and Switzerland. Criss-crossed with hiking trails, it is a walking destination in Summer – as well as a snowshoeing haven in Winter! Our base in Monte Rosa is the beautiful village of Gressoney at 1385 metres with spectacula views of the Monte Rosa range. The walks take you with your local guide on a tour of 2000m+ mountain passes and high hiking trails, through Alpine meadows with fragrant wildflowers and by peaceful lakes where the blue sky is mirrored on a summers day. Visit high mountain refuges and on ption climb the Castore peak, another spectacular climb to a 4000m+ peak.
