Day 1: Arrival
Pick up at Turin airport by the guide and transfer to Saint Véran resort by private transport, one of the most beautiful alpine villages of the South Alps. Located at 2040 m of altitude in the Queyras Regional Park, you will be charmed by its wooden and stone houses as well as the magnificent view over the mountains. You will be welcomed at the 2 star hotel “Le Grand Tetras” located in the heart of the village and run by a very friendly family. Great atmosphere. The hotel has a bar near a nice open fireplace and a restaurant. After an active day out you will appreciate the delicious local food offered for dinner.

Day 2: Snowshoe on Saint Véran south faces.
For your first day snowshoeing, to discover the place and get used to the snowshoes you will enjoy a loop snowshoe walk on the south faces of Saint Véran. The walk then continues down to Molines through the forest. Once in Molines you can enjoy a nice hot chocolate or local tart!
Back to Saint Véran with the local shuttle.

Day 3: Chalets of Molines
Short transfer to Molines and walk up in the direction of Gaudissard and Prats Hauts. The chalets you will see in those lovely hamlets are all very traditional built with larch timber. You will explore also a part of the forest where the snow is always very light and fun to snowshoe in!
At the end of this walk, we generally stop at Gaudissard for a nice hot chocolate!
Back to Saint Véran with the local shuttle.
Distance: 8 km Ascent 615 m.

Day 4: Observe the wildlife in Ristolas
Today after a short transfer to Ristolas near the Italian border you will explore a remote part of the regional park of Queyras. You will walk in the beautiful valley of the river Guil where if you are lucky Chamoix can be observed along the slopes of each side. After this walk we can stop at a nice café in Ristolas or Abries!
Distance: 7km Ascent: 450 m

Day 5: Free Day.
Take your time and visit Saint Véran at your own pace.
Today a lot of optional activities are also offered to you so you can benefit of the winter mountain in full.

On option:
 -Enjoy a day downhill skiing or cross country skiing.
 -The guide can show you some easy snowshoe walks to do on your own around.

Day 6: “Bucher” peak – Unique views of Queyras.
Today after a short transfer to Molines, you will enjoy a very pleasant walk up to the “Sommet Bucher”. Many ways are possible to the top and will allow us to make a nice loop walk. From the top there is an orienteering table from where you can enjoy an amazing view of the surroundings and the Ecrins National Park.
Distance: 9km Ascent: 550m.

Day 7: Curley Ridge
This walk will bring you to one of the nicest vista of the South Alps.
Initially you will be immersed in a very charming forest of Larche trees.
You will then climb gradually to the Curley cross from where you can enjoy the whole view of Saint Véran. Further you will continue on the curley ridge always wide and never exposed even for those who are of afraid of heights! , but do offer a breathtaking view of the mountain. After the walk, a short transfer to  your hotel in the historic fortified Alpine town of Briançon.

Day 8: Farewell.
