Aravis Massif

Day 1- Arrive in Geneva; supplement transfer to Thones
Arrive at your 2 star hotel  l'hermitage (1 hr). The Aravis massif is positioned between lac d'annecy and the Mont Blanc mountain range. Thones is ideally nested between the Aravis mountain range and Annecy lake. Meet with your France Outdoors guide in the evening.

Optional: airport transfer from Geneva.

Glières Plateau

Day 2 - Thones (630 m) - Glières Plateau (1394 m)
Pack enough belongings for 2 nights on the mountain and the rest of your luggage will meet you on Day 4. We will walk up to the Fresney Chalet and start the snowshoe climb up to Glières Plateau, a reknowned place of resistance in WWII (due to the nature of the terrain). The area is full of possibilities for snowshoeing. Stay the night in family run 'Gite Chez Constance'

Sous Dine

Day 3 - 'Glieres' Plateau (1394 m) loop walk
From the gite we will begin the trek to col de Spée (1888 m). From there we will turn South East towards 'Champ Laiter'. There is an option to carry on up to 2001 m to Sous Dine or close the loop and return to the gite via col des Fretes (1600 m). Stay in the Gite 'Chez Constance' for the night.

Day 4 - 'Glières' Plateau (1394 m)  - La Clusaz (1030 m)
Depending on the weather in the morning, there may be an opportunity to climb up the Auges mountain (1822 m) before descending to the valley. After lunch we will transfer to the ski resort la Clusaz; a picturesque village with traditional French charm. Stay the night in **Hotel Christiana and receive your luggage. Try the local cuisine in one of the restaurants in la Clusaz.
Ascent: 0 m / 430 m     Distance: 5 km / 15 km.

Gite Matins Clair

Day 5 - La Clusaz (1030 m) - Beauregard plateau (1700 m)
Bring enough with you for one night on the mountain. We will take it easy today and start by a cable car ride up to the Beauregard plateau (1700 m). After a stop at the Gite les Matins Clair, we will explore the plateau with an afteroon of gentle snowshoeing.

Mont Blanc Range

Day 6 - Beauregard (1700 m) - La Giettaz (1100 m)
Today we will start the trek from the foot of the ski slopes and ascend via some wild territory to col des Aravis (1486 m). The view from this point is spectacular, as you have Mont Blanc and the Aravis range in your midst. The descent to la Giettaz is a great moment for snowshoers as the views are prominent most of the way. Stay in **Hotel Flor'Alpes and receive your luggage.

Vast Open Spaces

Day 7 - La Giettaz (1100 m) - Megeve (1100 m)
We will take a forest trail to le Plan (1200 m) and take the ski touring route to Petite Croisse Baulet (2009 m). If possible, we could climb to 2236 m where the view of Mont Blanc is majestic. We will navigate our way to Megeve through forests and open space and stay in the gite 'Foundation Morand Allard'. Tonight there is an opportunity to eat out in one of the many lovely restaurants in Megeve.

Day 8 - FAREWELL!
Enjoy your final morning in Megeve before leaving for the airport.
