The Area of Palma in Majorca with the weather, the variety of walks possible in the South West, the food and the sea makes is a perfect destination at this time of year for a walking and yoga holiday.
The walking offered will be of around 10 km of distance and approx 650 m of climbing, so suitable to any hillwalker of reasonable fitness.
Yoga and Meditation classes will take place every day either in-doors (in the place Portal de Yoga, www.portalsdeyoga.com ) or out-doors weather permitting (in the hotel garden or by the sea) as well as a Relaxation class usually before dinner. Times vary according to the plan of the day.  Angelika who is your on site Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher for the week has been accompanying Vincent on these special weeks since the beginning. She is a fully qualified and highly experienced Teacher interested in sharing the joys and benefits of Yoga and Mindfulness with her students. She teaches full time in Ireland Co. Wicklow and has many years of experience teaching groups and individuals at all levels. All classes have a holistic approach that combine Postures with Breathing Practices, Relaxation Techniques, Meditation and Mindfulness. All practices will be adapted to the Group and individual needs and desires. Past Participants found that the daily yoga practice complemented and greatly enhanced their overall experience of the holiday nurturing the body as well as the soul.
 

Sat. 28th April : ARRIVAL – Join Palmanova
Welcome by your guide at Palma airport, arrival of Dublin Ryanair flight and transfer to your pension Hostal Villa Ampurdan in the Portal Nous area. People coming on different flights are also welcome, contact us and we will organise your transfer to the hotel. Hostal Villa Ampurdam is a small family run hotel. You will find there peace and tranquillity in a beautiful garden setting, and ideally located 5 to 10 minutes walk from the beach with easy access to a good choice of restaurants, shops and bars around. It is also an excellent base to all the walks (both coastal and mountain) of the South West of Majorca.
Dinner not incl (late arrival flight).

Sun. 29th April : WALK – Cala Figuera Coastal walk
After a start from the hotel along the sea front or a very short transfer, you enjoy a superb coastal walk. The Cala Figuera offers a relatively flat walk where you will approach some of the loveliest beaches of Majorca. You will also discover natural coves like Cala el Mago and see an old marble quarry of the 16th Century.

Mon. 30th April : WALK –  Elm coastal walks
A short bus transfer (20 min) takes you to the village of San Arraco and the  walk finish at the fishing port of Sant Elm. Today is a walk of Majorcan contrasts! Quiet villages, a tiny fishing port, high peaks, incredible rock formations, torrents, turquoise seas, deserted beaches, and a sophisticated little port with delightful bars, cafes and boutiques to finish off with! Finish at the village of San Elm allowing time for a coffee or a swim! Bus back to the hotel (30 min.).

Tues 1st May:  Walking and Wine Excursion – Puigpunyent
After a short bus transfer (30 min) to Puigpunyent you will start the day with a fabulous walk, during which we enjoy stunning views of the south western end of the Tramuntana mountain range, and the peace and tranquillity of Mallorca's mountains. We see some of the island's most luxurious mansions, as well as lots of glimpses of rustic rural life, and some fine examples of the island's ancient springs and water reservoirs. And finally to finish off the day, we visit a stunning ancient winery.

Wed. 2nd May: Free day
For your free day you might like to just relax by the sandy beach with crystal clear water! Many other options are available on site like boat trips, scuba diving,  kayaking, stand up paddle board, etc. Also Majorca is very famous for road cycling and you can hire a bike locally and go for a spin on one of the numerous fantastic roads. Finally in Palma you can visit the Cathedral, the Bellver castle, the Aquarium and many more.

Thurs. 3rd May: WALK Es Capdella & the Galatzó Estate
After a short bus transfer (15 min) to Es Capdella you will enjoy a walk in the area from the village of Es Capdella. The walk takes place in a rural corner of the island, which has fabulous views of the conical-shaped Puig Galatzo. This particular circular route takes us from the village along country lanes and rural tracks between casitas and fields and into the Galatzo estate with its magnificent 'Possessio' Manor House in the shadow of Puig Galatzo.

Fri. 4th May:  WALK -  Serra de Na Burgesa
After a start from the hotel you will walk up to Serra de Na Burgesa a hill than over looks at the bay of Palma and you will be amazed by the contrast between the quietness of the place rich in flora and local fauna and birds and the busy Palma coastline.

Sat. 5th May: FAREWELL!!!
ransfer to Palma de Majorca airport (30 minutes drive) by private transport to match Dublin Ryanair flight.
